Used in pesticide manufacturing and as an intermediate in organic synthesis. Used as an acidifying agent in starch adhesives. Also an intermediate in dyes, pharmaceuticals, pesticides, synthetic resins, and other organic synthetic materials. Used in the dye industry to produce indigo dye.
